About Us

We are just a family who loves this adorable and cute animal, we have a long story keeping and caring cats in the family. Me and my wife both comes from a family that always have cats in the house and we took care them in usual way likes most common people, such as fed them rice mixed with fish and let the cats free to come and go anytime they wants.

Today we keep the cats in the house and not let them free because to many vehicles moves around the neighborhood that could endangered the cat. We just got back to Jakarta after 9 years lived in Bali. In Bali we'll see few cats but many dogs around the streets not taking care appropriately by the owner, thanks to BAWA a local groups of people that saves many dogs and cats from the street and help finding caring home. But since Bali got the rabies disease couple years ago thousands of dogs were killed that made a major drop in dog populations.

Back in Jakarta we found the opposite situation from Bali, there are many cats in street and almost no dogs around. They were thrown away by the owner because of the common reason "mereka beranak terus" or "they always delivers" so despite of sterilized the cats they choose to thrown them away and filled the neighborhood and streets with abandon cats and kittens.

Going to the vets is not a common culture here yet, most people think it is not necessary to bring their pets to doctor because they think it waste of time and money. Because of this "abandoning" culture, the stray cats populations is increasing and uncontrolled. The sad part is there are many cats killed in the street of Jakarta everyday.

With this blog we try to share our story and opinion about this adorable animal but we are not an expert and still need to learn how to care the cats better. Your advise and opinion are welcome in our blog, thank you.
